St. Patrick's Day, Baptism, and Spring Break.... and tummy aches.

We had a fun filled Spring Break this year with 2 kiddos all week. It was our year to have Kyleigh. We tried to keep her as busy as possible! She got to play with the neighbor girl who is always gone when we have her because she goes to visit her dad. She spent tons of time with Grandma Gail, we took a trip out to Landa park with Grandma Sara, and well it was just a great week!  All of my family was in town Saturday night and we had a great dinner over at Matt and Amber's house. Matt orchestrated a ping pong tournament and Jared and I both won 1st and 2nd place! (we used to have a table and played it like crazy back in our younger days). It was so nice just to be with all my nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters-in-law, and parents! The kids ran around like crazy and jumped on the trampoline for hours. Kyleigh's feet were black by the end of the night!
The amazing week ended on Sunday with Bailey's Baptism. It was such a perfect day! The church was full of both of our families and many friends. Bailey did great! She went right to our pastor and gave him the sweetest look. When he put the water on her head she looked at the bowl like "ok I'm ready for the rest of the bath." There was beautiful music and an awesome message. We all celebrated back at Mike and Gail's house with yummy food and more family time. Bailey got a little fussy by the afternoon and only wanted me or Daddy.
She had been pretty fussy for the past week or so. She wasn't eating very well and we were just a bit worried. I went ahead and made an appointment with her Dr and we decided all the troubles were either constipation or reflux. His first suggestion was adding a bit of prune juice to her diet. It worked like a charm! She has been more regular and so so so much happier! That fussy little girl is back to her normal happy self and back to eating like normal. She has been enjoying lots of new recipes and I have been enjoying making them for her. I've never enjoyed cooking as much as I do now! Tonight we tried plums and butternut squash. She gobbled them both up with gusto! Some of the other new foods she has tried are avocado and bananas mixed, nectarines, peaches, apples and bananas mixed, peas and carrots mixed, plain ol' peas, plain ol' carrots, sweet potatoes, pears, and yogurt. She is a great eater! I tried giving her gerber peaches and she was having none of it! I tasted them too and I have to admit they are nowhere near as good as the fresh thing! It is so easy and much much CHEAPER to make your own food plus I think probably a little better for her.  My next recipe will be mango and a fun one called Mango Tango (peaches, mango, and bananas)
Bailey is doing so many fun things now. She is officially sitting on her own, grabbing EVERYTHING, and laughing! I thought I loved the 4 month stage but this almost 6 month baby is so much fun too!
Here are a few pics from the past few weeks!

This last picture is my new favorite!
