Almost crawling.... And Texas Bluebonnets

It is a tradition here in Texas to get some shots among bluebonnets and it was something I really wanted to do during Bailey's first spring. However the lack of rain made bluebonnets very scarce this year. My in-laws spread seed a long time ago and were able to water enough to get a little patch growing. Yay! Here are a few of my favorite pics!

Yesterday I tried to post a link to a Youtube video of Bailey's first true attempts at crawling. She has been rocking away for a few weeks and is now figuring out how to move her arms and legs! Yay! Here is the link-

6 months old

I can't believe we have made it to 6 months! Where did the time go? Just 6 months ago I was recovering and exhausted from delivery but soaking in my brand new beautiful little girl! She was so tiny and now she is so so big! At 6 months she is sitting up, rocking on all fours, and laughing like crazy! She is a happy, sweet little thing! She never stops moving and gets bored easily! We can never just sit and relax! She prefers to stand if she has the choice and loves to eat all her solid foods. The only thing we don't like is peas! She actually cries when I make her eat them. I give her a bite of something yummy and she gobbles it up and is happy but as soon as I put those peas in she grimaces and cries as if I have just pinched her! (Don't worry baby momma knows just how nasty they are- I hate them too.) Her number one man is still Daddy and she follows him around with her eyes wherever he goes. She looks at him like she is so fascinated! My favorite moment of the day is when I walk in from work and she looks up and sees it's me and gets the biggest most wonderful grin across her face! Like hey there you are! I've missed you! Then we play. play, and play some more! We try to spend a lot of time outside~ she loves to just sit in the front yard and watch the neighborhood. It is probably the only time of day she sits still. She goes to bed at 8:30ish sometimes 9:00. I like to keep her up a little late to get some extra time in. She makes up for it in the morning and usually lets Dad sleep until 9:30. She still needs a bottle once or twice throughout the night. It used to be so hard to get up for those middle of the night feeds but now it is just what I do. It's our life. It's the best life and she is just the most wonderful little person I have ever known!
