The Crib

Last night was not good (to say the least). She woke up every 2 hours. Lately it has been every 3 hours~ not sure what happen to sleeping through the night for her. She is supposed to hit a growth spurt at 3 months so I am not sure if this sleeping like a newborn is due to that or if she didn't feel comfy in her big crib. I do know I am exhausted! When she woke up at 530 after sleeping for 2 hours I let her just fuss a bit and she ended up sleeping another hour and a half. SO maybe I am just going in there too soon. I try to make her drink a full bottle before bed but she always falls asleep and nothing I do wakes her up to finish. Maybe an earlier bed time? She did fall asleep nicely to her new mobile though! If she weren't so darn cute this would be harder! :)

This is her best friend Ashlynn! We dressed them up like twins and did a photo shoot!

12 weeks

Bailey is 12 weeks old today! I cant believe how much she has grown! She is sleeping in her big girl crib for the first time tonight! So far napping in it isnt going so well! She falls asleep but then wakes on up! She cant stand to lay back anymore~ she is constantly pulling up to a sitting position. She even does this in her sleep! :)

Big Girl

We are officially in size 3-6 months! Bailey is sleeping in her own room for the first time tonight. I kept her in the bassinet but will transition into the crib soon. We have a special monitor that makes sure she is breathing (Angel Care) and it needs to have a board put under the mattress. As soon as we do that she is jumping into the big girl crib! I can't wait! Here she is with big sister right before bed time in her big girl PJ's!

She is also sitting up with help so well that she can now ride in the big girl part of the stroller. She absolutely loves going for walks now. She was squealing and cooing the whole way these past few days. Her legs were pumping too! I think she is loving seeing the world upright! I guess I would get tired of blue sky and white ceilings too! So much to see out there and she is now seeing it all!

We also have been able to leave her laying on the floor on her baby gym a lot more. She kicks and grabs at all the toys. While I cook or clean she can now sit in her bouncer. I was so worried we weren't gonna get enough use out of it but she is using it now! I do need to remember to buckle her in now though since she is sitting more upright. I looked out at her this evening from the kitchen and she was just about to slide off the front. Oops! Oh and she can put all her weight on her legs so she is standing and kinda jumping on our laps. The last picture is of her standing up while holding my hands. It just is all happening so fast! Can't believe she can do all this and there is so much more to come!

Trouble keeping up with the Stewarts....

"Forgive our mess"....... is what I have been saying for 2 .5 months to everyone who walks in my door. These said people just smile and say "It's okay you have a newborn." Well she isn't a newborn anymore and it is still a mess! I don't know how people do it. I work all day and when I get home she is awake and I want to spend my time with her. The small amount of time that I can put her down on the floor to play or in her swing is long enough to make dinner but leaves little time for cleaning. My house isn't dirty it's just messy!!! Its always messy and I'm starting to become overwhelmed. I WANT a picture perfect home! And my darling husband is perhaps the messiest man in the world. Before I could come up behind him and pick up but those days are long gone. I will admit I am also not the neatest person- I did not inherit my mother's knack for a clean home at all times. Add to the normal mess all the holiday mess and it's just a lot. I need a maid but can't afford one. I know I could make a schedule like Mondays- clean bathrooms, Tuesdays- dust and so on but it hasnt worked so far. I need to start out with a super clean house and then start there. Maybe when mom reads this she will say she will watch Bailey again so I can clean or better yet she will come clean for me. ;)
And here is one more picture of the reason my home is so messy! Beautiful Bailey! Love her to pieces!

Best Christmas Gift Ever!

Bailey had her 2 month appointment and did great with her first shots! She only cried a minute! They did make her sleep for almost 24 hours total and she got a slight fever. She is weighing in at 10 lbs 13 oz and is 23.5 in long. Getting so big! I recently went back to work and Daddy and Bailey are doing great at home. Jared is working evenings and is really enjoying his new job. I miss him but we get to spend a few hours together each night. Work is going pretty well. I was great the first 3 days but it hit me today that I REALLY want to be home. I even shed a few tears thinking of my Bailey Bug!

Fun with Kyleigh

Kyleigh came for her regular weekend visit and we are having a great time. We went to have lunch with Grandma Sara and helped her put up her outside Christmas lights (hopefully Marcus approves ;) Then we came home and just sat outside in the beautiful 70ish degree weather. We went for a nice walk to the playground. Bailey really enjoyed watching all the kids playing around her. She just loves to be outside. Next we put up our tree to Christmas tunes and enjoyed hot chocolate. My sweet Bailey went to sleep all on her own after she ate. I know she wont sleep a super long stretch because she got in great naps today. But when she gets her naps she goes to bed at night much easier. So it is a trade off- either goes to sleep easily and only sleeps a 4 hour stretch or is horrendous and sleeps for 6 hours. Either way she falls right back to sleep when she nurses. All this talk of sleep reminds me I need to get to bed. We are taking the girls to Sunday school and church tomorrow. When we asked Kyleigh about Jesus today she didnt really know too much about him. She was asking if we celebrated Hannaka or Christmas... So it is decided she really has a lot to learn! Hope your holiday season is going well! Enjoy the pictures!
