Jared and I had our tour at the hospital this evening! I am delivering at St Lukes in the medical center. (40 minutes away from my house) The hospital is awesome! I have heard great things but I loved what I saw. The delivery rooms are spacious but the recovery couplet room is kinda tiny! So visitors beware! We will be squished! They have super security when it comes to the babies... not sure if this is normal everywhere. They have tracking systems on there legs, if a baby is taken near a staircase door or elevator then it will lock down all the elevators and stairs in the maternity ward. Plus cameras everywhere.... Also if the mom chooses she can have the baby with her always! Except the first bath! I was shocked at how super serious security is. I mean are a lot of babies stolen? When they took us in the delivery room I actually started to feel panic! There is a ginormous spotlight they shine right down on the mother. It will be my first time in a spotlight! There is nothing the Dr's and nurses wont see! It all just seems so close now and Im getting excited and nervous! Cant wait to see this little girl! My tummy is starting to do all those cool alien moves. It is a lot of fun to watch but feels so weird. Jared always seems to miss all the cool belly movements.
On another note...the first day of school was great! I only have 15 kids right now! I am sure the number will grow but let me tell you it is so much easier dealing with 15 than 22 or 25 on the first day of school! I have 3 of my Pre-K kids. One I got today and I hadnt seen him in 3 yrs (he went to another school) he was so excited to see me! It was really cool- at the end of the day he said "You know I've really been missing you." haha as if he was really sitting around missing me for the past 3 years. Im excited for all the new little minds! Plus being at work will make the rest of this pregnancy fly by! Off to bed gotta rest up for day 2!
