6 weeks old

Bailey was 6 weeks old this week and I just wanted to post a view of the things she is doing. She is definitely smiling at me (they say it is a social smile). I love the early morning times when we are both waking up for the day and she just smiles and smiles. Gonna be so hard to miss out on those when I go back to school. Especially because she can be very grumpy in the evenings. I hope she is just so happy to see me when I get home that I will still get those daily smiles. She is following objects with her eyes. She sits up with help (of course) and she just holds her up for so long. We look at her and think wow she looks older than a mere 6 weeks. She is cooing and gurgling more and more. Oh and she is loving bath time! I put her in and she just sits back and relaxes- smiles, coos, and waves her hands through the water. This is such a big turn around- bath time used to be dreadful. She would scream, squirm, and turn bright red. I am finding it hard to put her in every outfit more than once because she is just growing like a weed! I put her in a 0-3 month onesie last night and she is bursting out of the buttons- when she woke up this morning with a full diaper it was even worse! It isn't tight it's just too short. She is def a tall baby- we measured her and she has reached 23 inches. Not sure about the weight though! She isn't too crazy about tummy time but will tolerate it for a few minutes- she is holding up both her head and her shoulders. One thing she doesn't do very well is SLEEP! She likes to take little mini naps (30-45 min) during the day. When it is time to go to sleep at night she fights it. When she finally falls asleep she usually makes it to 3 hours but often only 2. She just feeds really quick and sacks back out but still it is so hard to wake up every 2 hours. As I told Amber- I know this won't last forever. One day in the future I will sleep for 8 hours. I'm extremely excited about this week and Thanksgiving- its one of my favorite times of the year! Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
